Luxemburg’s first brewery museum

The grand Duchy of Luxembourg can look proudly on a centuries-old brewing tradition. Located in Wiltz, the Simon Brewery is one of the few which remain in Luxembourg family ownership. In addition to that, in the surrounding Upper Sûre Nature Park, spelt is grown from which a tasty strong beer is produced. So there were reasons enough to create Luxembourg’s first and only Brewery Museum in the nostalgic setting of the stables at Wiltz Castle.

Exhibits not only throw light on more than 6000 years of beer production history but also document the outstanding developments which have taken place in brewing in the Grand Duchy. Unique items on display give a fascinating insight into a world where the rulers are water, hops and malt.
